The World Team Grooming Championship

 

at September 19th and 20th in Dachau beside Munich

 

 

 

 

 

  In compliance with the European Grooming Association

 

 

The GERMAN GROOMING MASTERS are held in compliance with the general directions of the EUROPEAN GROOMING ASSOCIATION.
As usual at international grooming competitions, the event will be held in the four categories "Other Breeds Scissoring"1, "Spaniels & Setters", "Hand Stripping" and "Poodles". The competition will be judged in the classes "Professional" and "Newcomers"2.

In adition the the German Grooming Masters and the World Team Grooming Chmpioship, there are two more events: The Free Styling Competition and the Oster Career Starter Competition.

The members of the jury, coming from different countries, are internationally experienced and rank among the most reputated groomers in the world. So, attending the German Grooming Masters will bring you both fame and the opportunity to bring home some medal.

Each participant at the German Grooming Masters 2009 will receive a decorative certificate of participaton.

Nominated and honoured (with certificate,Medal and price-money) will be the three bests in each category and the best in German Grooming Masters (Best In Show)

The Oster Career Starter Competition

In the Category Newcomers (beginners class), there is a special event : the Oster Career Starter Competition2. Beginners meeting the requirements obtain a professional clipper sponsored by Oster Professional Products. Of course, each participant gets a decorative certificate of participation. The three winners are honoured with a certificate and a medal.

Free Styling Competition (FSC). For all kind of dogs OUT OF the vour EGA-Categories (for example Shih Tzu, Yorkshire, Maltese). Using a dog from the vour EGA-Categories, you have to realize a very different (or new) style (for example a poodle in 'modern', 'puppy', 'continental', 'Scandinavian' is not aload - if you groom a poodle in this category, you have to realize a new -or own- style). Mix-Breeds are aload in FSC.

Judging a grooming competition is a verry responsible job, and requires a lot of knowledge and experience. Regarding this responsibility, very reputated judges are invited. So all the participants can profit from the judges knowledge and experience. After the competition, there is the opportunity to get advice and corrections from a Oster-ambassador.

Refreshments for your dog are available at the Canis Resort Service-Lounge during the German Grooming Masters - for free.

Also it is possible to leave your dog at the service loung temporarily.

(1) In accordance with the guidelines of the EGA, the following breeds are allowed : Bichon frisé, Kerry blue, Bedlington, Portug. Waterhound, Softcoated, Russian Terriers, Bouvier des Flandres.
(2) Beginners in dog grooming with less then one year of experience. The Oster Career Starter Competition is open for candidates having never been nominated at a competition before. The beginner class is held in only one category for all breeds. 
(3) For all kind of dogs OUT OF the vour EGA-Categories (for example Shih Tzu, Yorkshire, Maltese). The European Grooming Association has the pleasure to present the fourth World Team Championship.

We are proud of the trust the all of you granted, and we will do our best to make that event unforgettable.

Oster Europe will be the sponsor of the Show that, according to expectations, should be the greatest ever held as number of competing Teams.

The location is the Sport Center ASV in Dachau (Munich / Germany). The World Team Grooming Championship will be hosted by German Grooming Masters 2009, on September 20th.

As in the past editions, four groomers will compose a Team, four competing classes: 'Purebred Scissoring', 'Handstripping', 'Spaniel & Setter' and 'Poodle'.  

The German national Team for the World Championship will be presented at the website of Groom Team Germany 
(on the left you can click directly at the GTG-website - look for "WM-Team").

Rules and Judgment Procedure are the same than in the past.
